My daughter finished Kindergarten yesterday. Come last night they had a graduation ceremony. I thought it was horribly over the top. For a Kindergarten Graduation. Or a wedding.
The kids had practiced for weeks. They even took a bus over on Friday morning to rehearse “in the facility.” Ridiculous! I mean this is KINDERGARTEN after all.
I made fun of the concept. I thought it was dumb and so, so very over the top. Let me repeat, this is dumb and over the top for a kindergarten graduation. These kids are 5 and 6 years old.
Then this happened:
Look at that smile! I had tears on my cheeks simply from her joy.
I love you, Peanut. And thank you to her school for their amazing, over the top graduation!
As a surprise, the kids had also dressed up in costumes and then took pictures illustrating what they want to be when they grow up. Here’s my Hannah:

Much like Girlie’s ballet performance, which I b*’d and moaned about the craziness of (and it WAS crazy) – I also cried when Girlie danced. So I get it. And H-bomb looked absolutely precious.
But mom used to say, “If they do this now, what do they have to look forward to?” And whenever this stuff happens for Girlie, I think about that and wonder.

Thanks for preparing me for waterworks in about 2 weeks! She is so darling! Somehow the part we will have en Espanol will make me even more of a blubbering idiot… so I better buckle down.
They were kind enough to have tissues there for us. I definitely used my supply! I recommend you bring a box
